Yes, it is official, the newest Disney Princess is :::drum roll::: me!!
That's right, all of my beloved plebeians, I am now amongst a select few young women to ever hold this title. While some may enter a pageant only to have the title removed after a year, my title will remain for all my days.
To those unfortunate souls wondering why you are not a Disney Princess, I can only offer this as consolation:
I'm just better than you, and there's nothing you can ever do about it.
Sigh. Doesn't that feel better? Now you can get on with your life working at your grueling desk job getting sweaty, accumulating paper cuts, and not being admired as much as yours truly. It's alright, though. Some of us are princesses and others are peasants. We all have important roles to fill, my dears.
Your beloved princess,
~K
P.S. Disney hasn't quite put out the memo yet, but they will. Eventually.

Disneyland is calling
My co-workers and I have decided that we are taking a trip to Disneyland come September. Do you know what this means? Spending way too much on crap like mouse ears and Tinker Bell wands that we will never need! As if my budget wasn't already in the tank...
Seriously, though, I love Disneyland and this will be the first time visiting as an adult. I look forward to going on Splash Mountain and the Matterhorn, getting pictures with the different characters, and eating mouse-shaped ice cream bars.
Let the planning, budgeting, and excitement begin!
Your cartoon hero,

Move over Fivel!
Well, it seems like there's a new singing mouse in the house! Chuck E. Cheese is launching their "Chuck E. Rocks" campaign in the coming days/weeks, and this sees the fun-loving rodent playing air guitar while singing about how amazing he and his play place is.
Love the video? Think the song is catchy? Wondering why the voice sounds so familiar? Well, it's probably because you grew up in the era of awesome punk rock. Chuck E. Cheese is voiced by none other than Jaret Reddick, lead singer of a very well known band:
That's right, the frontman of Bowling For Soup has been turned into a cartoon mouse! Mickey, you don't even come close.
On another note, if you're in the middle-of-nowhere-Washington-state in July, Bowling For Soup will be performing for - wait for it - FREE!! They're coming Ephrata for the Basin Summer Sounds Music Festival. MUST go!!
Girl all the bad guys want,

Battle of the Budget
I guess if it were easy then I wouldn't have had a problem in the first place. But I did, and budgeting is HARD!
Last week I definitely went over, and I don't even want to thing about by how much. I was already over budget due to going out of town for a wedding, but when I got back I also went to a karaoke bar with a friend. A couple drinks and crab rangoons later, I got a bill that was nearly half the week's budget! Boo.
On a related note, I put together a video list of songs you should not be singing at karaoke. This is for everyone's well-being, trust me. If you consider singing any of these songs, put down the song book and just walk away.
Just an ordinary citizen looking out for society while battling a budget,

Joining the 21st Century
I did it. I drank the Kool-aid. I got on the bandwagon. I've become a lemming. And before you ask, no, I didn't start wearing Crocs. Ew.
My darlings, my lovelies....I joined Twitter. Oh, the shame of it all! Woe to me! How will I live now with my thoughts out there for everyone on the internet to see??
Oh wait, I'm already doing that. Alright then, carry on.
And if you want to show how much you love and adore me, feel free to follow me. It'll fill me with warm fuzzies, tomorrow your secret crush will kiss you, and when you go outside you'll find a magical unicorn.
Yep, all that will happen if you follow me:
FOLLOW ME, DAGNABBIT!!
Love always,
~K

How to hit on a guy
In an effort to empower young women everywhere, I created a tutorial/self-help video on how to hit on a guy. I knew that there was a need, as there wasn't already a video with that exact name anywhere on youtube. You're welcome, world.

Budgeting: Review
To review last week. As of Wednesday I was at $37.44 out of $45. On Saturday I picked up tortilla chips, so add another $2.99 for a week's total of $40.43. That means I was $4.57 under!! Woot woot!
Sunday I'm going to skip over since we took the family out to dinner for Father's day and I took my little brother to the movies. Sometimes you just have to let things go.
So today, with grocery shopping yesterday and lunch from Costco today (yummy cheap pizza!), I am currently at $14.33 for this week. I will be spending a bit more at Uwajimaya tonight for dinner with my friend while we watch Downton Abbey, but my pennies are gonna keep getting pinched.
Saving in Seattle,
