Today's news

Yes, this is what I'm doing on a Friday night. Don't judge me.

With scientific, technological, and medical breakthroughs, you get such heart-warming stories as this one. A 29-year old deaf woman is finally given the opportunity to hear the sounds that you and I take for granted with the help of a cochlear implant.

Unfortunately, for every warm-fuzzy story, there are 15 not-so-great news stories out there. If you were infertile or just wanting another baby, how would it make you feel to know that only 60 babies were adopted in England last year? As far as I know, I don't fall into either of those groups but this tears me to pieces. So many precious children growing a year older without the love parents can offer.

In techie news, Apple may be pulling its iconic iPod classic device as well as the iPod shuffle. Considering that the iPod classic currently boasts the largest amount of storage space amongst Apple's iPod lineup, this seems like a shot in the foot.

There you have it, folks.

You stay classy, World.

  1. I'm not one to judge...especially since I went to bed last night at 7:00pm. On a Friday. :P
