Style of the Sirens: Angela Lansbury

Tale old as time, true as it can be...

Ah, yes. That classic song from the beloved Disney movie, "Beauty and the Beast". Before she immortalized those lyrics or figured out whodunnit as Jessica Fletcher in "Murder, She Wrote", Angela Lansbury was a siren comparable to the other beloved beauties.

It's amazing to think that this lovely lady got her start while World War II was raging on. But whether she was overshadowed by Elizabeth Taylor in "National Velvet", KGB mama Eleanor in "The Manchurian Candidate", or the Dowager Empress in "Anastasia", Angela Lansbury is a film legend to be reckoned with.

In awe of yet another leading lady,

  1. Gah! I had no clue Angela Lansbury was famous (and so gorgeous!) during her younger years. The first time I was exposed to her was as Jessica Fletcher on Murder, She Wrote - a role which she played perfectly! :)
