A "Friend"-ly Guy

I do believe that a recent date was the first of its kind. I have been on somewhat innocent first dates where the guy will just lightly put his hand on the small of my back and guide me along. I have been on not-so-innocent first dates where the guy has tried to get into my pants (or skirt...whatever).

My most recent first date was a bit different. As far as I remember (and it was only yesterday), this guy didn't try anything. ANYTHING. No reaching for my hand, no guiding me along, no lean-in for a goodnight kiss...or hug, for that matter. Sigh.

Let me be clear: the date was wonderful. He was a perfect gentleman, very courteous, sweet, and fun to be around. It was enjoyable, but low-pressure. We went to a sporting event, then got drinks with his friends, and had a double dinner date with his friend and his friend's girlfriend. All very pleasant.

However, it all seemed a little too "friend"-ly.

At this point I am torn between alternatives; this guy has no game, or he was not attracted to me.

  1. Maybe he was just being polite? I'd give him one more chance. If date two doesn't go well, drop him!

  2. I'm with Jamie on the one more chance. Sometimes guys just need a warm up :-)

  3. Doesn't sound so bad to me...because he was to nice (is there such a thing) def give him a second chance !
